HomeMy Public PortalAbout11900O R D I N A N C E NO. 11900 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Million Four Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($2,400,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project
costs for the construction of Lower Meramec River System Improvements – Mattese
Creek Sewer (95066R); in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. for the
aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction is Two Million One
Hundred Eighty Thousand Two Hundred Eighty-five Dollars ($2,180,285.00), and
the allowance for construction change orders is Two Hundred Nineteen Thousand
Seven Hundred Fifteen Dollars ($219,715.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Million Four Hundred Thousand Dollars
($2,400,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be
used for project costs for the construction of Lower Meramec River System
Improvements – Mattese Creek Sewer (95066R), in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for
the construction of Lower Meramec River System Improvements – Mattese Creek
Sewer (95066R), in St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and
opened on the 28th day of September, 2004.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 9, 2004.
