HomeMy Public PortalAbout11908O R D I N A N C E NO. 11908 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Thousand Dollars
($300,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for
the construction of sanitary sewers in Upper Sugar Creek Sanitary Relief Sec. C,
Phase I (87154), in the City of Des Peres, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into a contract with XL Contracting, Inc. for the construction of the
aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Two
Hundred Twenty-nine Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($229,400.00), and the
allowance for construction change orders is Seventy Thousand Six Hundred Dollars
($70,600.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Thousand Dollars
($300,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be
used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Upper Sugar Creek
Sanitary Relief Sec. C, Phase I (87154), in the City of Des Peres, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with XL Contracting, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Upper Sugar Creek Sanitary Relief Sec. C, Phase
I (87154), in the City of Des Peres, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened
on the 4th day of November 2004.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 9, 2004.
