behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Kohn,
Shands, Elbert, Gianoulakis & Giljum, LLP, whereby Kohn, Shands, Elbert,
Gianoulakis & Giljum, LLP will provide legal consulting services pertaining to rate
issues, with an emergency clause.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The Chairman of the Board of Trustees is hereby authorized
on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Kohn, Shands, Elbert, Gianoulakis & Giljum, LLP, whereby Kohn, Shands, Elbert,
Gianoulakis & Giljum, LLP will provide legal consulting services pertaining to rate
issues.
Section Two. The contract authorized in Section One of this ordinance
shall provide for a fee not to exceed Seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($7,500.00),
and be comprised of such other terms and conditions as are approved by the Board of
Trustees of the District.
Section Three. The legal consulting services pertaining to rate issues as
herein authorized are vital to the operations of the District, and must be procured
without delay, thus creating an emergency within the meaning of the Charter.
Accordingly, this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 9, 2004.
