HomeMy Public PortalAbout11914O R D I N A N C E NO. 11914 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($130,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Lockwood and Cherry Storm Sewer (2002041); in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with XL Contracting, Inc., for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for construction of said storm sewers is One Hundred Eighteen Thousand Three Hundred Sixty-six and 82/100 Dollars ($118,366.82), and the allowance for construction change orders is Eleven Thousand Six Hundred Thirty-three and 18/100 Dollars ($11,633.18), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($130,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Lockwood and Cherry Storm Sewer (2002041), in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with XL Contracting, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Lockwood and Cherry Storm Sewer (2002041), in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 12th day of November 2004. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 13, 2005.
