HomeMy Public PortalAbout11916O R D I N A N C E NO. 11916 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Thirty-five Thousand Dollars ($135,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in University Place -- Tulane Separate Sewer Area 1/1 Reduction (2004069), in the City of University City, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Insituform Technologies USA, Inc. for the rehabilitation of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the rehabilitation of said sanitary sewers is One Hundred Twenty-two Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty-five Dollars ($122,755.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Twelve Thousand Two Hundred Forty-five Dollars ($12,245.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Hundred Thirty-five Thousand Dollars ($135,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in University Place -- Tulane Separate Sewer Area 1/1 Reduction (2004069), in the City of University City, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Insituform Technologies USA, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in University Place -- Tulane Separate Sewer Area 1/1 Reduction (2004069), in the City of University City, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 18th day of November 2004. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 13, 2005.
