HomeMy Public PortalAbout11927O R D I N A N C E NO. 11927 AN ORDINANCE, authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into
contracts with the law firms of Armstrong Teasdale LLP and Thompson Coburn
LLC whereby Armstrong Teasdale LLP and Thompson Coburn LLC, will provide
General Legal Services, including but not limited to the areas of civil litigation and
research, human resources law, real property law and administrative matters, for
the District, with an emergency clause.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into contracts with the law firms of Armstrong Teasdale LLP and Thompson
Coburn LLC, whereby Armstrong Teasdale LLP and Thompson Coburn LLC will
provide General Legal Services, including but not limited to the areas of civil
litigation and research, human resources law, real property law and administrative
matters, for the District.
Section Two. The contract authorized in Section One of this ordinance
shall commence on January 14, 2005 and terminate on January 13, 2006, and may
be renewed at the option of the District for two (2) additional one-year terms; and be
comprised of such other terms and conditions as are approved by the office of the
General Counsel of the District.
Section Three. The General Legal Services as provided for herein are
essential to the operation of the District, and must be procured without delay, thus
creating an emergency within the meaning of the Charter. Accordingly, this
ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 13, 2005.
