HomeMy Public PortalAbout11932O R D I N A N C E NO. 11932 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Forty-three Thousand Dollars ($243,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Black Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Crosswinds Storm Sewer (2001057); in the Cities of Olivette and Ladue, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Schuster Engineering, Inc., for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for construction of said storm sewers is Two Hundred Twenty-one Thousand Seven Hundred Sixty-five Dollars ($221,765.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Twenty-one Thousand Two Hundred Thirty-five Dollars ($21,235.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Forty-three Thousand Dollars ($243,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Black Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Crosswinds Storm Sewer (2001057), in the Cities of Olivette and Ladue, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Schuster Engineering, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Crosswinds Storm Sewer (2001057), in the Cities of Olivette and Ladue, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 23rd day of November 2004. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 10, 2005.
