HomeMy Public PortalAbout11946O R D I N A N C E NO. 11946 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Twenty-eight Thousand Dollars ($228,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in North Harrison Avenue Storm Sewer Improvement (2003036); in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Benz-Parks, Inc., for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for construction of said storm sewers is Two Hundred Sixteen Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-seven Dollars ($216,697.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Eleven Thousand Three Hundred Three Dollars ($11,303.0), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Twenty-eight Thousand Dollars ($228,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in North Harrison Avenue Storm Sewer Improvement (2003036), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Benz-Parks, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in North Harrison Avenue Storm Sewer Improvement (2003036), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 6th day of January 2005. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 22, 2005.
