HomeMy Public PortalAbout11947O R D I N A N C E NO. 11947 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Six Million One Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($6,100,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project
costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Coldwater Sanitary Relief Section A,
Phase I (89119A), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. for the
construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Five
Million Seven Hundred Ninety-eight Thousand Dollars ($5,798,000.00), and the
allowance for construction change orders is Three Hundred Two Thousand Dollars
($302,000.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Six Million One Hundred Thousand Dollars
($6,100,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be
used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Coldwater Sanitary
Relief Section A, Phase I (89119A), in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for
the construction of sanitary sewers in Coldwater Sanitary Relief Section A, Phase I
(89119A), in St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on
the 20th day of January 2005.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 22, 2005.
