Thousand Dollars ($1,240,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Lower Meramec River Basin to be used for
project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Fishpot East Sanitary Relief
Phase III (90022C), in the City of Ballwin, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into a contract with Karsten Equipment Company, for the
construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is One
Million Ninety-one Thousand Three Hundred Thirty-seven Dollars ($1,091,337.00),
and the allowance for construction change orders is One Hundred Forty-eight
Thousand Six Hundred Sixty-three Dollars ($148,663.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Two Hundred Forty Thousand
Dollars ($1,240,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance
and Construction Improvement Fund of the Lower Meramec River Basin to be used
for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Fishpot East Sanitary
Relief Phase III (90022C), in the City of Ballwin, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Karsten Equipment Company as the lowest responsible bidder
for the construction of sanitary sewers in Fishpot East Sanitary Relief Phase III
(90022C), in the City of Ballwin, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on
the 14th day of February 2005.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 14, 2005.
