($36,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund
of the Seminary Branch of River Des Peres to be used for project costs for the
construction of Streambank Protection in Wrenwood Court Storm Channel (MKMR-
200) (2001092); in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into a contract with Benz-Parks, Inc. for the construction of
the aforesaid streambank protection.
WHEREAS, the bid for construction of said streambank protection is
Thirty-two Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-seven Dollars ($32,567.00), and the
allowance for construction change orders is Three Thousand Four Hundred Thirty-
three Dollars ($3,433.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Thirty-six Thousand Dollars ($36,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of the Seminary Branch of River Des Peres to be used for project
costs for the construction of streambank protection in Wrenwood Court Storm
Channel (MKMR-200) (2001092), in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Benz-Parks, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of streambank protection in Wrenwood Court Storm Channel (MKMR-
200) (2001092), in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri, pursuant to bids received
and opened on the 23rd day of February 2005.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 14, 2005.
