from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Small Sewer Rehabilitation in the City of St.
Louis (2003114) in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into a contract with Insituform Technologies USA, Inc. for the
rehabilitation of the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the rehabilitation of said sanitary sewers is
Three Million Four Hundred Eight-seven Thousand One Hundred Fifty-nine
Dollars ($3,487,159.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is One
Million Five Hundred Twelve Thousand Eight Hundred Forty-one Dollars
($1,512,841.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Five Million Dollars ($5,000,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for
the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Small Sewer Rehabilitation in the City of St.
Louis (2003114) in the City of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Insituform Technologies USA, Inc. as the lowest responsible
bidder for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Small Sewer Rehabilitation in the
City of St. Louis (2003114) in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids
received and opened on the 24th day of February 2005.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 5, 2005.
