HomeMy Public PortalAbout11972O R D I N A N C E NO. 11972 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Thirty-nine Thousand Dollars ($39,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Maline Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Bermuda Court Storm Improvement (2003151), in the City of Normandy, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with X L Contracting, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers. WHEREAS, the bid construction of said storm sewers is Thirty-five Thousand Four Hundred Eighty-seven Dollars ($35,487.00) and the allowance for construction change orders is Three Thousand Five Hundred Thirteen Dollars ($3,513.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Thirty-nine Thousand Dollars ($39,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Maline Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Bermuda Court Storm Improvement (2003151), in the City of Normandy, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with XL Contracting, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Bermuda Court Storm Improvement (2003151), in the City of Normandy, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 9th day of March 2005. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 5, 2005.
