($6,050,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for
the construction of storm and combined sewers in Grand and Bates Relief Phase II
– Local Sewers (St. Louis CSO Project) 99146A, in the City of St. Louis, Missouri;
and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson
Const. Co., Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid storm and combined sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm and combined
sewers is Five Million Seven Hundred Ninety-nine Thousand Nine Hundred
Seventy-nine and 04/100 Dollars ($5,799,979.04), and the allowance for construction
change orders is Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Twenty and 96/100 Dollars
($250,020.96), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Six Million Fifty Thousand Dollars
($6,050,000.00), is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be
used for project costs for the construction of storm and combined sewers in Grand
and Bates Relief Phase II – Local Sewers (St. Louis CSO Project) 99146A, in the
City of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Gershenson Const. Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of storm and combined sewers in Grand and Bates Relief Phase II –
Local Sewers (St. Louis CSO Project) 99146A in the City of St. Louis, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 11th day of April 2005.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take
effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 9, 2005.
