Effective January 1, 2024, the various Chapters and Sections of the Code of the Borough of Carteret are hereby amended and supplemented to incorporate the revised, and/or new, fees, respectively, as set forth on the attached Schedule A, which is made a part hereof as if set forth at length herein, and the balance of said Chapters and Section shall remain unchanged Section 2. All Ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent with the provision of this Ordinance are hereby repealed limited t0 the extent of any such inconsistency. Section 3. If any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause or provision of this Ordinance is adjudged invalid, such adjudication shall apply only to the section, paragraph, subdivision, clause or provision so adjudged and the remainder of this Ordinance shall be deemed valid and effective. "License term; fees" is hereby amended as follows: The license fee for a taxicab owner's license shall be two hundred dollars ($200.00) per year. The fleet owner's license fee shall be two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) and the per vehicle fee shall be fifty dollars ($50.00) for each vehicle. §235-5(A)(3) "Licensing of taxicab drivers" is hereby amended as follows: The application fee for a taxicab driver's license shall be fifty dollars ($50.00). §235-19 "License Fees; Duration" is hereby amended as follows: A. Limousine Owner's License. The annual fee to be paid for a limousine owner's license, which shall be separately required for each limousine, shall be the sum of one hundred dollars ($100.00) per year or any portion thereof. Establishment of enforcing agency. There is hereby established in the Borough of Carteret a State Uniform Construction Code Enforcing agency to be known as the "Construction Code Enforcement Agency," Consisting of a Construction Official, Building Subcode Official and such other subcode officials for such Additional subcodes as the Commissioner of the Department of Community Affairs, State of New Jersey, shall hereafter adopt as part of the State Uniform Construction Code ` The Construction Official shall be the chief administrator of the enforcing agency. The Fire Protection Subcode Official shall be appointed by the Mayor and Council. § 109-2. Board of Appeals. [Amended 4-19-1990 by Ord. No. 90-161 Any appeal or grievance filed pursuant to a decision of the enforcing agency shall be filed with the Middlesex County Board of Uniform Construction Code Appeals. 1 Definitions: Unless defined herein, all terms shall have the meaning described in the State Uniform Construction Code or as commonly understood in the construction industry unless the context indicates a different meaning.
