($96,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Creve Coeur Frontenac to be used for project costs for
the construction of storm sewers in Conway & Conwood Storm Channel
Phase II (2001115A); in the Village of Westwood, Missouri; and authorizing
the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with XL
Contracting, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for construction of said storm sewers is
Eighty-seven Thousand Four Hundred Forty-four Dollars ($87,444.00), and
the allowance for construction change orders is Eight Thousand Five
Hundred Fifty-six Dollars ($8,556.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is
an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Ninety-six Thousand Dollars
($96,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Creve Coeur Frontenac to be used for
project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Conway & Conwood
Storm Channel Phase II (2001115A), in the Village of Westwood, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer
are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District
to enter into a contract with XL Contracting, Inc. as the lowest responsible
bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Conway & Conwood Storm
Channel Phase II (2001115A), in the Village of Westwood, Missouri, pursuant
to bids received and opened on the 9th day of May 2005.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 14, 2005.
