A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING STAFF TO PURCHASE ONE-48-1NCH DECK MOWER
THROUGH AN INFORMAL BID PROCESS.
WHEREAS, the Ground Maintenance Division's 48-inch deck mower has been in
service for seven years and has reached the end of its service life; and
WHEREAS, said mower has recently experienced frequent breakdowns that
affect the division productivity. It is now in need for replacement; and
WHEREAS, the replacement cost has been estimated at $9,000; and
WHEREAS, the replacement can be done more economically and expeditiously
through an informal bid procedure; and
WHEREAS, Section 6-3.13c of the Lynwood Municipal Code allows the
authorization of said bidding procedure by City Council 4/5 vote.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Lynwood as follows:
Section 1: That the City Council approves the informal bidding process for the
purchase of a 48-inch deck mower by a minimum 4/5 vote.
Section 2: This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
