HomeMy Public PortalAbout12039O R D I N A N C E NO. 12039 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Seventy-five Thousand Dollars ($275,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of combined sewers in Lindenwood Sewer System Relief Phase II (2001072A), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with XL Contracting, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid combined sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said combined sewers is Two Hundred Forty-nine Thousand Six Hundred Twenty-three and 39/100 Dollars ($249,623.39.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Twenty-five Thousand Three Hundred Seventy-six and 61/100 Dollars ($25,376.61), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Seventy-five Thousand Dollars ($275,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Combined Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of combined sewers in Lindenwood Sewer System Relief Phase II (2001072A), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with XL Contracting, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of combined sewers in Lindenwood Sewer System Relief Phase II (2001072A), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 27th day of June, 2005. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 11, 2005.
