HomeMy Public PortalAbout12040O R D I N A N C E NO. 12040 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Eight Hundred Thirty-five Thousand
Dollars ($835,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of the University City Branch of River Des Peres to be used for
project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Trenton Creek Storm Sewer
(UCTC-110) Phase V (2000113), in the City of Overland, Missouri; and authorizing
the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. for
the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Seven
Hundred Ninety-three Thousand Five Hundred Forty Dollars ($793,540.00), and
the allowance for construction change orders is Forty-one Thousand Four Hundred
Sixty Dollars ($41,460.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Eight Hundred Thirty-five Thousand Dollars
($835,000.00), is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of the University City Branch of River Des Peres
to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Trenton Creek
Storm Sewer (UCTC-110) Phase V (2000113), in the City of Overland, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for
the construction of storm sewers in Trenton Creek Storm Sewer (UCTC-110) Phase
V (2000113), in the City of Overland, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and
opened on the 29th day of June, 2005.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 11, 2005.
