A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING THE HUD
CONSOLIDATED 2005-20'10 STRATEGIC PLAN
AND 2005-2006 ANNUAL PLAN
WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban Development
requires the City of Lynwood to have an approved Consolidated Plan, which
consists of the 2005-20`10 Strategic Plan and 2005-2006 Annual Plan, in
order to receive Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME
funds; and
WHEREAS, the Consolidated Plan serves as a planning document, an
application for federal funds, a strategy to be followed in carrying out HUD
programs and an action plan that provides a basis for assessing performance;
and
WHEREAS, HUD has made $2,049,754 in CDBG funds and $668,'108
in HOME funds, available for fiscal year 2005-2006, to carry out goals set in
the Consolidated 2005-20'10 Strategic Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood's Community Development Block
Grant Advisory Board Commission has conducted the required Public
Hearings to obtain citizen input on the draft FY2005-2006 Annual Plan and
FY2005-20'10 Strategic Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Lynwood City Council has reviewed the draft
Consolidated Plans and taken into consideration, public comments/input
relating to Lynwood's community development and housing needs.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does
hereby find, determine, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. The Lynwood City Council approves the Consolidated
2005-2010 Strategic Plan, to include any amendments made at the May 3,
2005, Council meeting.
Section 2. The Lynwood City Council approves the Consolidated
2005-2004 Annual Plan, to include any amendments made at the May 3,
2005, Council meeting.
Section 3. The Lynwood City Council approves the following
allocations and activities for fiscal year 2005-2006, with the use of CDBG and
HOME funds:

Section 4. This Resolution authorizes the required submittal of the
Consolidated 2005-2010 Strategic Plan, 2005-2006 Annual Plan, and CDBG and
HOME Applications, to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development
(HUD).
Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
adoption.
