five Thousand Dollars ($1,385,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be
used for project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Clifton Heights
Combined Sewer Relief (2003103) in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing
the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Insituform Technologies USA, Inc.
for the rehabilitation of the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the rehabilitation of said sanitary sewers is
One Million Three Hundred Seventeen Thousand Two Hundred Seventy-five
Dollars ($1,317,275.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Sixty-
seven Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty-five Dollars ($67,725.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Three Hundred Eighty-five
Thousand Dollars ($1,385,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary
Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary
sewers in Clifton Heights Combined Sewer Relief (2003103) in the City of St. Louis,
Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Insituform Technologies USA, Inc. as the lowest responsible
bidder for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Clifton Heights Combined Sewer
Relief (2003103) in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and
opened on the 19th day of July 2005.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 8, 2005.
