HomeMy Public PortalAbout12062O R D I N A N C E NO. 12062 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Two Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars ($1,260,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in CC-18 Smith Creek Branch Sanitary Relief (SKME-028) (90012), in the Cities of Creve Coeur and Town and Country, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is One Million One Hundred Ninety-one Thousand Nine Hundred Thirty-five Dollars ($1,191,935.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Sixty-eight Thousand Sixty-five Dollars ($68,065.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Million Two Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars ($1,260,000.00), is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in CC-18 Smith Creek Branch Sanitary Relief (SKME-028) (90012), in the Cities of Creve Coeur and Town and Country, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in CC-18 Smith Creek Branch Sanitary Relief (SKME-028) (90012), in the Cities of Creve Coeur and Town and Country, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 22nd day of July 2005. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 8, 2005.
