A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING THE ANALYSIS OF
IMPEDIMENTS AND FAIR HOUSING ACTION PLAN - FY2005
WHEREAS, in order for the City of Lynwood to receive funds for its
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME programs, the
Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires that the City
certify that it will affirmatively further fair housing; and
WHEREAS, in an effort to comply with fair housing requirements, the
City conducted an analysis to identify impediments to fair housing choice, and
completed a fair housing action plan which describes actions the City will take
to overcome and/or mitigate impediments to fair housing; and
WHEREAS, an Analysis of Impediments and Fair Housing Action Plan
report was made available for review and citizen comment, for a 30-day
period. On April 6, 2005, a Public Hearing was held to allow citizens the
opportunity to provide input and/or comment on the draft Analysis of
Impediments and Fair Housing Action Plan and no negative input, comments
or concerns were received.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does
hereby find, determine, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. The City Council approves the Analysis of Impediments
and Fair Housing Action Plan, to include any amendments recorded at the
May 3, 2005, Council meeting.
Section 2. This Resolution authorizes the required submittal of the
Analysis of Impediment and Fair Housing Action Plan, to the U.S. Department
of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Section $. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
its adoption.
