HomeMy Public PortalAbout12089O R D I N A N C E NO. 12089 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seventy-six Thousand Dollars
($76,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund
of the Seminary Branch of River Des Peres to be used for project costs for the
construction of storm sewers in Pinetree -- Southside Storm Sewer (2002099), in the
City of Webster Groves, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Benz-Parks, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid storm
sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Sixty-
eight Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-five Dollars ($68,695.00), and the allowance for
construction change orders is Seven Thousand Three Hundred Five Dollars
($7,305.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Seventy-six Thousand Dollars ($76,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of the Seminary Branch of River Des Peres to be used for project
costs for the construction of storm sewers in Pinetree -- Southside Storm Sewer
(2002099), in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Benz-Parks, Inc., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of storm sewers in Pinetree -- Southside Storm Sewer (2002099), in the
City of Webster Groves, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 10th
day of August, 2005.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 13, 2005.
