HomeMy Public PortalAbout12106O R D I N A N C E NO. 12106 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Million One Hundred Seventy
Thousand Dollars ($5,170,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used
for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Gravois Trunk (Whitecliff
to RDP) Sanitary Relief Phase I (90032), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Tarlton
Corporation for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Four
Million Nine Hundred Twenty-three Thousand Dollars ($4,923,000.00), and the
allowance for construction change orders is Two Hundred Forty-seven Thousand
Dollars ($247,000.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Five Million One Hundred Seventy Thousand
Dollars ($5,170,000.00), is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement
Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Gravois
Trunk (Whitecliff to RDP) Sanitary Relief Phase I (90032), in St. Louis County,
Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Tarlton Corporation as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Gravois Trunk (Whitecliff to RDP) Sanitary
Relief Phase I (90032), in St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and
opened on the 19th of September 2005.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take
effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 10, 2005.
