HomeMy Public PortalAbout12107 O R D I N A N C E NO. 12107 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Million Nine Hundred Ninety- five Thousand Dollars ($2,995,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Towne South Interceptor Sanitary Relief Phase II (90077A), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with J.M. Marschuetz Construction for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Two Million Eight Hundred Fifty-one Thousand Six Hundred Forty-two and 49/100 Dollars ($2,851,642.49), and the allowance for construction change orders is One Hundred Thirty-three Thousand Three Hundred Fifty-seven and 51/100 Dollars ($133,357.51), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Two Million Nine Hundred Ninety-five Thousand Dollars ($2,995,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Towne South Interceptor Sanitary Relief Phase II (90077A), in St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with J.M. Marschuetz Construction as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Towne South Interceptor Sanitary Relief Phase II (90077A), in St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 21st day of September, 2005. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 10, 2005.
