HomeMy Public PortalAbout12109O R D I N A N C E NO. 12109 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Four Hundred Thirty-
five Thousand Dollars ($1,435,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be
used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Frost -- Midwood
Sanitary Relief (2003056), in the Cities of Berkeley and Hazelwood, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Karsten
Equipment Co., for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is One
Million Three Hundred Sixty-six Thousand Five Hundred Seventy-seven Dollars
($1,366,577.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Sixty-eight
Thousand Four Hundred Twenty-three Dollars ($68,423.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Four Hundred Thirty-five
Thousand Dollars ($1,435,000.00), is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary
Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary
sewers in Frost -- Midwood Sanitary Relief (2003056), in the Cities of Berkeley and
Hazelwood, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Karsten Equipment Co., as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Frost -- Midwood Sanitary Relief (2003056), in
the Cities of Berkeley and Hazelwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and
opened on the 23rd day of September 2005.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 10, 2005.
