HomeMy Public PortalAbout12135O R D I N A N C E NO. 12135 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Three Hundred Fifty-five Thousand Dollars ($1,355,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Gravois Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Gravois Gardens Storm Improvements Phase I (2003065), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Const. Co., Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is One Million Two Hundred Eighty-eight Thousand Two Hundred Thirty-seven and 19/100 Dollars ($1,288,237.19), and the allowance for construction change orders is Sixty-six Thousand Seven Hundred Sixty-two and 81/100 Dollars ($66,762.81), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Million Three Hundred Fifty-five Thousand Dollars ($1,355,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Gravois Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Gravois Gardens Storm Improvements Phase I (2003065), in St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Const. Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Gravois Gardens Storm Improvements Phase I (2003065), in St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 11th day of October, 2005. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 8, 2005.
