AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Six Million Dollars ($6,000,000.00) from the
Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of Missouri River
Treatment Plant Improvement Phase I (Rehabilitation) (99076B), in the City of Maryland
Heights, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Tarlton Corporation for
the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said construction is Five Million Six Hundred Eighty-six
Thousand Dollars ($5,686,000.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Three
Hundred Fourteen Thousand Dollars ($314,000.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Six Million Dollars ($6,000,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of Missouri River Treatment Plant Improvement Phase I (Rehabilitation) (99076B),
in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Tarlton Corporation as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of Missouri River
Treatment Plant Improvement Phase I (Rehabilitation) (99076B), in the City of Maryland
Heights, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 20th day of October, 2005.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take
effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 12, 2006.
