AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Fifty-three Thousand Dollars
($53,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund
of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in
Bambury Way #602 Storm Improvement (2005127), in the City of Kirkwood,
Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf
of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with V.G.P.
Utility Contracting, Inc., for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Forty-
eight Thousand One Hundred Ninety-four and 25/100 Dollars ($48,194.25), and the
allowance for construction change orders is Four Thousand Eight Hundred Five and
75/100 Dollars ($4,805.75), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Fifty-three Dollars ($53,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement
Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers
in Bambury Way #602 Storm Improvement (2005127) the City of Kirkwood,
Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
V.G.P. Utility Contracting, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm
sewers in Bambury Way #602 Storm Improvement (2005127), in the City of Kirkwood,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 28th day of October, 2005.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 12, 2006.
