HomeMy Public PortalAbout12156O R D I N A N C E NO. 12156 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($250,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement
Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers
in Berry Road – Hudson to Honeycut Storm Sewer (2003038), in the City of Rock
Hill, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Two
Hundred Twenty-seven Thousand Seven Hundred Forty-eight and 05/100 Dollars
($227,748.05), and the allowance for construction change orders is Twenty-two
Thousand Two Hundred Fifty-one and 95/100 Dollars ($22,251.95), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($250,000.00), is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the
construction of storm sewers in Berry Road – Hudson to Honeycut Storm Sewer
(2003038), in the City of Rock Hill, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for
the construction of storm sewers in Berry Road – Hudson to Honeycut Storm Sewer
(2003038), in the City of Rock Hill, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened
on the 23rd day of November 2005.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 9, 2006.
