HomeMy Public PortalAbout12162O R D I N A N C E NO. 12162 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Seven Thousand Dollars ($207,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Haversham #1000 Storm Improvement (2004036), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Unnerstall Contracting Co., Ltd. for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is One Hundred Eighty-eight Thousand Four Hundred Twenty-one Dollars ($188,421.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Eighteen Thousand Five Hundred Seventy-nine Dollars ($18,579.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Seven Thousand Dollars ($207,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Haversham #1000 Storm Improvement (2004036), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Unnerstall Contracting Co., Ltd. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Haversham #1000 Street Storm Improvement (2004036), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 20th day of December, 2005. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 9, 2006.
