HomeMy Public PortalAbout12185O R D I N A N C E NO. 12185 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Million Seven Hundred Thousand Dollars ($2,700,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the removal of biosolids from the Missouri River Wastewater Treatment Plant in Missouri River WWTP Biosolids Removal-South Lagoon Phase I (2001064), in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Synagro for the construction of the aforesaid biosolids removal. WHEREAS, the bid for said biosolids removal is Two Million Four Hundred Forty-four Thousand Six Hundred Sixty Dollars ($2,444,660.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Two Hundred Fifty-five Thousand Three Hundred Forty Dollars ($255,340.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Two Million Seven Hundred Thousand Dollars ($2,700,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the removal of biosolids from the Missouri River Wastewater Treatment Plant in Missouri River WWTP Biosolids Removal-South Lagoon Phase I (2001064), in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Synagro as the lowest responsible bidder for the removal of biosolids from the Missouri River Wastewater Treatment Plant in Missouri River WWTP Biosolids Removal-South Lagoon Phase I (2001064), in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 17th day of January, 2006. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 13, 2006.
