SPECIAL SESSION
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 14, 1997 5:00 P.M.

The Greencastle Board of Works met in Special Session, Friday, November 14, 1997, 5:00 p.m.
at City Hall. Mayor Michael called the meeting to order. On the Roll Call the following Board
Members were found to be present: Sue Murray. George Murphey was absent. City Attorney
John Zeiner was also absent. Wastewater Superintendent Charlene Nichols and Eldon Lewis
were also present.
The purpose of this meeting is to consider actions by Eldon Lewis and Steve Guerin in refusing
to take a mandatory CDL random drug test on November 12, 1997. Mayor Michael stated that
she is unable to make a decision at this time and made the motion for Eldon Lewis and Steve
Guerin to remain on suspension until the regular Board of Works meeting that will be held
Wednesday, November 19, 1997. Mayor Michael stated that she is not taking this situation
lightly and is struggling to make sure the right decision is made. Sue Murray seconded the
motion. Vote was unanimous.
Motion to adjourn made by Sue Murray, seconded by Mayor Michael. Vote was unanimous.
