AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CON~'C6~[~H '
T&M ASSOCIATES / ROOSEVELT AVENUE PUMP STATION
VARIABLE FREQUENCY DRIVE AND CONTROL REPLACEMENT
WHEREAS, the Borough of Caneret is in need of professional engineering
services with regard to the replacement of the Roosevelt Avenue Pump Station's
Main Control Panel (MCP) and Variable Frequency Drives (VFD); and
WHEREAS, T&M Associates possesses the requisite skill and expertise to
provide said engineering services; and
WHEREAS, T&M Associates has submitted a proposal, dated April 1 I, 2002, to
provide said engineering services to include field work, preparation o£ plans and
specifications and bidding phase work at a cost not to exceed $12,500.00 and
contract administration and inspection in an amount not to exceed $11,500.00, for
a total amount not to exceed $24,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have reviewed said proposal;
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be
available for said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough o£ Carteret, County o£ Middlesex, State o£New Jersey, as £ollows:
1. The proposal of T&M Associates for engineering services to
prepare plans and specifications and for contract administration
and inspection with regard to the replacement of the Roosevelt
Avenue Pump Station's Main Control Panel (MCP) and Variable
Frequency Drives (VFD) is hereby approved in a total amount not
to exceed $24,000.00.
2. Annexed hereto is a copy o£ said proposal.
3. The appropriate Borough officials are hereby authorized to
enter into an agreement with T&M Associates to provide the above
described services.
4. This action is approved as an award of a professional services
contract pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:l 1-5(1)(a), and a notice of
this award shall be advertised as required by law.
