HomeMy Public PortalAbout12197O R D I N A N C E NO. 12197 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Million One Hundred Fifty
Thousand Dollars ($2,150,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used
for project costs for the construction of the Fillmore Combined Sewer System
Improvements Phase I (2003092), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing
the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. for
the construction of the aforesaid combined sewer system improvements.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said combined sewer system
improvements is Two Million Eighteen Thousand Dollars ($2,018,000.00), and the
allowance for construction change orders is One Hundred Twenty-two Thousand
Dollars ($132,000.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Million One Hundred Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($2,150,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement
Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of the Fillmore Combined
Sewer System Improvement (2003092), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for
the construction of the Fillmore Combined Sewer System Improvements (2003092)
in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 27th
day of February, 2006.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 11, 2006.
