AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Sixty-eight Thousand Five Hundred
Dollars ($68,500.00) from the Operation, Maintenance, and Construction
Improvement Fund of North Affton to be used for project costs for the construction
of a concrete channel and appurtenances in Grammond Creek – Heege to Brittin
Storm Channel (GRMB-250) Phase III (2001085), in St. Louis County, Missouri;
and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Aim to Please
Lawn, Landscaping & Tree Serv. for the construction of the aforesaid concrete
channel and appurtenances.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said concrete channel and
appurtenances is Sixty-three Thousand Eight Hundred Forty-nine and 80/100
Dollars ($63,849.80), and the allowance for construction change orders is Four
Thousand Six Hundred Fifty and 20/100 Dollars ($4,650.20), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Sixty-eight Thousand Five Hundred Dollars
($68,500.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance, and
Construction Improvement Fund of North Affton to be used for project costs for the
construction of a concrete channel and appurtenances in Grammond Creek – Heege
to Brittin Storm Channel (GRMB-250) Phase III (2001085), in St. Louis County,
Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Aim to Please Lawn, Landscaping & Tree Serv. as the lowest
responsible bidder for the construction of a concrete channel and appurtenances in
Grammond Creek – Heege to Brittin Storm Channel (GRMB-250) Phase III
(2001085), in St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on
the 20th day of March, 2006.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
