HomeMy Public PortalAbout12224O R D I N A N C E NO. 12224 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($400,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for the construction of CSO - Interceptor Access and Monitoring
Improvements (I-073B, I-085, I-218, I-230, I-252, I-237B, and I-285)
(2003054A), in the City of St. Louis and St. Louis County, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Gershenson Const. Co., Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said construction is Three Hundred
Seventy-nine Thousand Two Hundred Twenty Dollars ($379,220.00), and the
allowance for construction change orders is Twenty Thousand Seven
Hundred Eighty Dollars ($20,780), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is
an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Thousand Dollars
($400,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to
be used for project costs for the construction of CSO - Interceptor Access and
Monitoring Improvements(I-073B, I-085, I-218, I-230, I-252, I-237B, and I-
285) (2003054A), in the City of St. Louis and St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer
are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District
to enter into a contract with Gershenson Const. Co., Inc. as the lowest
responsible bidder for the construction of CSO - Interceptor Access and
Monitoring Improvements (I-073B, I-085, I-218, I-230, I-252, I-237B, and I-
285) (2003054A), in the City of St. Louis and St. Louis County, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 30th day of March, 2006.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
