HomeMy Public PortalAbout12225O R D I N A N C E NO. 12225 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Eight Hundred
Thousand Dollars ($1,800,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be
used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in CC-11 and
CC-20 Creve Coeur Creek Sanitary Relief (89130), in the Cities of
Chesterfield, Town and Country, and Creve Coeur, Missouri; and authorizing
the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Essex
Contracting, Inc., for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers
is One Million Six Hundred Forty-three Thousand Three Hundred Four
Dollars ($1,643,304.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is
One Hundred Fifty-six Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-six Dollars
($156,696.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is
an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Eight Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($1,800,000.00), is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary
Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary
sewers in CC-11 and CC-20 Creve Coeur Creek Sanitary Relief (89130), in
the Cities of Chesterfield, Town and Country, and Creve Coeur, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer
are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District
to enter into a contract with Essex Contracting, Inc., as the lowest
responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in CC-11 and CC-
20 Creve Coeur Creek Sanitary Relief (89130), in the Cities of Chesterfield,
Town and Country, and Creve Coeur, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and
opened on the 31st day of March 2006.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
