HomeMy Public PortalAbout12244O R D I N A N C E NO. 12244 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Nine Hundred Eighty Thousand
Dollars ($980,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project
costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in North Price to Pennell Sanitary
Replacement (2000045), in the Cities of Overland and Olivette, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility
Company, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is
Eight Hundred Eighty-nine Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-five Dollars
($889,565.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Ninety Thousand
Four Hundred Thirty-five Dollars ($90,435.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Nine Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars
($980,000.00), is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be
used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in North Price to
Pennell Sanitary Replacement (2000045), in the Cities of Overland and Olivette,
Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for
the construction of sanitary sewers in North Price to Pennell Sanitary Replacement
(2000045), in the Cities of Overland and Olivette, Missouri, pursuant to bids
received and opened on the 27th day of May 2006.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 6, 2006.
