HomeMy Public PortalAbout12245O R D I N A N C E NO. 12245 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Eighty-two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($82,500.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Seminary Branch of River Des Peres to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Lenox Ave. Storm Sewer (2005132), in the City of Shrewsbury, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Const. Co., Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Seventy-four Thousand Eight Hundred Eighty-eight and 60/100 Dollars ($74,888.60), and the allowance for construction change orders is Seven Thousand Six Hundred Eleven and 40/100 Dollars ($7,611.40), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Eighty-two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($82,500.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Seminary Branch of River Des Peres to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Lenox Ave. Storm Sewer (2005132), in the City of Shrewsbury, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Const. Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Lenox Ave. Storm Sewer (2005132), in the City of Shrewsbury, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 5th day of May, 2006. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 6, 2006.
