AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seven Hundred Thousand Dollars
($700,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs
for the construction of sanitary sewers in CSO-Waverton and Magnolia CSO
Interceptor (I-179) Elimination (2003145), in the City of Ladue, Missouri, and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Fred M. Luth
& Sons, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said construction is Six Hundred Forty-
three Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-nine and 50/100 Dollars ($643,699.50),
and the allowance for construction change orders is Fifty-six Thousand Three
Hundred and 50/100 Dollars ($56,300.50), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Seven Hundred Thousand Dollars
($700,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to
be used for project costs for the construction of CSO-Waverton and Magnolia
CSO Interceptor (I-179) Elimination (2003145), in the City of Ladue, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to
enter into a contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible
bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in CSO-Waverton and Magnolia
CSO Interceptor (I-179) Elimination (2003145), in the City of Ladue, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 23rd day of May 2006.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 6, 2006.
