HomeMy Public PortalAbout12268O R D I N A N C E NO. 12268 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Twenty-nine Million Four Hundred
Fifty Thousand Dollars ($29,450,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be
used for project costs for the construction of the Grand Glaize WWTP Improvements
(2003061), in the City of Valley Park and St. Louis County, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with KCI
Construction Company for the construction of the aforesaid treatment plant
improvements.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said treatment plant
improvements is Twenty-seven Million Nine Hundred Ninety-three Thousand One
Hundred Sixty-nine Dollars ($27,993,169.00), and the allowance for construction
change orders is One Million Four Hundred Fifty-six Thousand Eight Hundred
Thirty-one Dollars ($1,456,831.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Twenty-nine Million Four Hundred Fifty
Thousand Dollars ($29,450,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary
Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of the Grand
Glaize WWTP Improvement (2003061), in the City of Valley Park and St. Louis
County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with KCI Construction Company as the lowest responsible bidder for
the construction of the Grand Glaize WWTP Improvements (2003061) in the City of
Valley Park and St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened
on the 21st day of June, 2006.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 10, 2006.
