HomeMy Public PortalAbout12278 O R D I N A N C E NO. 12278 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million One Hundred Sixty
Thousand Dollars ($1,160,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used
for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Oak Drive to Bopp Lane
Sanitary Relief Phase II (99104B), in the Cities of Town and Country, and
Frontenac, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Karsten Equipment Company for the construction of the aforesaid
sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is One
Million One Hundred Four Thousand Nine Hundred Sixty-eight Dollars
($1,104,968.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Fifty-five
Thousand Thirty-two Dollars ($55,032.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million One Hundred Sixty Thousand
Dollars ($1,160,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement
Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Oak
Drive to Bopp Lane Sanitary Relief Phase II (99104B), in The Cities of Town and
Country, and Frontenac, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Karsten Equipment Company as the lowest responsible bidder
for the construction of sanitary sewers in Oak Drive to Bopp Lane Sanitary Relief
Phase II (99104B), in the Cities of Town and Country, and Frontenac, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 12th day of July 2006.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 31, 2006.
