HomeMy Public PortalAbout12279O R D I N A N C E NO. 12279 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Million Six Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($2,600,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project
costs for the construction of Harlem-Baden Relief Phase III (Highland) (2001138), in
the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Gershenson Const. Co. for the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction is Two Million Three
Hundred Ninety-one Thousand One Hundred Twenty-eight and 96/100 Dollars
($2,391,121.96), and the allowance for construction change orders is Two Hundred
Eight Thousand Eight Hundred Seventy-eight and 04/100 Dollars ($208,878.04),
and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars
($2,600,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be
used for project costs for the construction of Harlem-Baden Relief Phase III
(Highland) (2001138), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Gershenson Const. Co. as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of Harlem-Baden Relief Phase III (Highland) (2001138), in the City of
St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 26th day of July
2006.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 31, 2006.
