Dollars ($280,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Seminary Branch of River Des Peres to be used for project
costs for the construction of storm sewers in Valcour & Weber Storm Sewer
(2005052), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director
and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to
enter into a contract with XL Contracting, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid
storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Two
Hundred Fifty-four Thousand Three Hundred Twenty-seven Dollars ($254,327.00),
and the allowance for construction change orders is Twenty-five Thousand Six
Hundred Seventy-three Dollars ($25,673.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars
($280,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Seminary Branch of River Des Peres to be used
for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Valcour & Weber Storm
Sewer (2005052), in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with XL Contracting as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of storm sewers in Valcour & Weber Storm Sewer (2005052), in St.
Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 8th day of
August, 2006.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 12, 2006.
