Thousand Dollars ($4,400,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used
for project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Midland Sanitary Relief
(SKME-226) Separate Sewer Area I/I Reduction (2005063A) in the City of Overland,
Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf
of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Insituform Technologies USA, Inc. for the rehabilitation of the aforesaid sanitary
sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the rehabilitation of said sanitary sewers is
Two Million Four Hundred Forty-three Thousand Four Hundred Fifty-five and
50/100 Dollars ($2,443,455.50), and the allowance for construction change orders is
One Million Nine Hundred Fifty-six Thousand Five Hundred Forty-four and 50/100
Dollars ($1,956,544.50), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Million Four Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($4,400,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement
Fund to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Midland
Sanitary Relief (SKME-226) Separate Sewer Area I/I Reduction (2005063A) in the
City of Overland, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Insituform Technologies USA, Inc. as the lowest responsible
bidder for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Midland Sanitary Relief (SKME-
226) Separate Sewer Area I/I Reduction (2005063A) in the City of Overland,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 28th day of November, 2006.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 11, 2007.
