AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Fifty-eight Thousand Five Hundred
Dollars ($58,500.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the
construction of storm sewers in Conway and Westwood Lake Drive Storm
Sewer (2003137), in the Village of Westwood, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with D.H.I. Contracting, LLC for
the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is
Fifty-three Thousand Ninety-nine Dollars ($53,099.00), and the allowance for
construction change orders is Five Thousand Four Hundred One Dollars
($5,401.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT
Section One. The sum of Fifty-eight Thousand Five Hundred
Dollars ($58,500.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance
and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs
for the construction of storm sewers in Conway and Westwood Lake Drive
Storm Sewer (2003137), in the Village of Westwood, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to
enter into a contract with D.H.I. Contracting, LLC as the lowest responsible
bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Conway and Westwood Lake
Drive Storm Sewer (2003137), in the Village of Westwood, Missouri, pursuant
to bids received and opened on the 5th day of December 2006.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 8, 2007.
