HomeMy Public PortalAbout12405O R D I N A N C E NO. 12405 AN ORDINANCE, authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a Sublease Agreement with St. Louis County, Missouri whereby the District will sublease the premises as leased by St. Louis County, Missouri known and numbered as 21 Village Square in the City of Hazelwood, Missouri for use as the District’s North County Service Center, with an emergency clause. WHEREAS, the sublease of said premises will allow the District to provide more convenient permit and billing customer service to north and west St. Louis County customers, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT Section One. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a Sublease Agreement with St. Louis County, Missouri whereby the District will sublease the premises as leased by St. Louis County, Missouri known and numbered as 21 Village Square in the City of Hazelwood, Missouri for use as the District’s North County Service Center. Section Two. The Sublease Agreement as authorized in Section One of this ordinance shall provide for an initial term of one (1) year with three (3) additional one-year renewal terms at the District’s option, at the annual rent of Twelve Dollars ($12.00), and shall be comprised of such other terms and conditions as are approved by the office of the General Counsel of the District. Section Three. The establishment of the District’s North County Service Center to provide more convenient permit and billing customer service to north and west St. Louis County customers is necessary due to the disruptions to be caused by the Interstate 64 reconstruction, and must proceed without delay, thus creating an emergency within the meaning of the District Charter. Accordingly, this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 20, 2007.
