AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seventy-nine Thousand Dollars
($79,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement
Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm
sewers in Lockwood Ct. #661 Storm Sewer Improvements (2006059), in the
City of Webster Groves, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to
enter into a contract with Heartland Construction & Excavating for the
construction of the aforesaid storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is
Seventy-one Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety-nine and 63/100 Dollars
($71,999.63), and the allowance for construction change orders is Seven
Thousand 37/100 Dollars ($7,000.37), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT
Section One. The sum of Seventy-nine Thousand Dollars
($79,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for
the construction of storm sewers in Lockwood Ct. #661 Storm Sewer
Improvements (2006059), in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to
enter into a contract with Heartland Construction & Excavating as the lowest
responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Lockwood Ct. #661
Storm Sewer Improvements (2006059), in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 2nd day of February 2007.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 26, 2007.
